Learning support

A personalised approach

Learning support is a cornerstone of our personalised approach to education. It’s our job to ensure every student is given the chance to shine and we have a range of support channels to enhance their learning journey.

  • Parent/Teacher conferences

Parent/Teacher Conferences are an excellent way for parents to gain an overview of their child’s academic and social progress. Held twice a year, interviews last for 10 minutes, (with Primary School homeroom interviews scheduled in 15 minute blocks).

Parents can also contact the school at any time to arrange a meeting.

  • Tutor system

Every student is allocated a tutor who will mentor and coach them throughout the year, both individually and in groups.

The focus is on improving student achievement through:

    • encouragement
    • setting educational goals
    • developing action plans
    • provide additional support
    • providing guidance with study programmes
    • monitoring progress and providing feedback to parents and deans
    • raising expectations
    • building trust
  • International student support

Our international students are well looked after, with additional pastoral care and welfare support provided by our International Student Dean. The Dean works with international students, their parents and/or homestay families to ensure students are happy and thriving in their new environments.

A holistic education

We encourage participation and work hard to ensure every student finds something to inspire them.
