We offer safe and welcoming homestays for international students who would like to study at ACG Tauranga.
Before any new placement is made, we inspect the home and interview the family to ensure they meet our strict criteria. Homestay families are vetted by the New Zealand Police and must sign a contract, agreeing to our specific rules and standards.
Once approved, homestay families are provided with training and ongoing support. A friendly ACG Education assessor visits all international students under the age of 18 at least three times a year.
All payments are made directly to the homestay families from the ACG Student Fees Trust.
While staying in our standard homestays, students will have their own room with a bed, desk, heating and internet. They’ll have reasonable use of home facilities (such as TV and telephone) and will be provided with breakfast and dinner on weekdays, with lunch added for weekends and holidays. Laundry is also included.
All homestays are located on our school bus route which can be accessed by students for an additional fee. The homestay family will ensure students know where to catch the bus before their first day of school.
