Stephanie Vaughan

Humanities and Business

Stephanie graduated from the University of Otago in 2007 with a Bachelor of Primary School Teaching and a Bachelor of Arts in English. She has been teaching for ten years, both overseas and in New Zealand. In 2014 Stephanie moved back to New Zealand after teaching at an International School in Hong Kong for four years where she followed the Cambridge Curriculum. Before this, she worked in Wellington and in Tauranga where she taught a range of year groups at a primary level.Most recently, she taught Year 3 and 4 students at ACG Tauranga as one of the foundation staff members.  

Having majored in English, Stephanie supports students who have English as a second language while also teaching Humanities. A warm, nurturing and caring environment is vital in Stephanie’s classroom. She encourages students to celebrate their learning, respect one another and overall she helps prepare them to become lifelong learners. 

Outside of school, Stephanie enjoys playing netball and has played competitively for 20 years. She loves to travel and experience various cultures and cuisines. Family and friends are very important to her and they play a big part in Stephanie’s life. 

Stephanie holds a Bachelor of Teaching (Primary) and a Bachelor of Arts (Majoring in English) from the University of Otago.
